Dear Doctor Uday
I am a male of 30 years age and working professional.
On 2nd march 2012 i went to my native place for celebrating Holi with my parents. Returned on 12th and since then my stool output became semisolid and bit frequent. I continued the office since 12th march 2012.
On March 28th I felt feverish , went to a doctor, she said may be its viral, given some antiviral medicines. Fever went away but came back on 3th April. In Blood test done on 3rd April shows following abnormalities:
• SGPT:: 124.2 u/l
• Trophozoites & Shizonts of P.Vivax (by QBC) (Maleria) was found in smear study
• Total Platelates: 122000/Cmm
• Serum B-12 Level: 247 ng/l
• Urine test : Normal
• Blood Sugar: Normal
I was treated by Doctor A with IV medication from 4th to 7th April, During this time i never had fever. Stool was bit watery .
Became good by 7th Joined Office from 12th April.
Fever came again on 19th Night, Doctor did the Blood test again:
Following abnormalities were reported on 20th April 2012:
• SGPT:134 u/l
• Typhi DOT:
• Typhi IgG: Negative
• Typhi IgM: Negative
• No Malarial Parasites found , platelets are adequate.
Widal test
• S Typhi ~H~ <1.20
• S. Typhi ~O~ <1.20
• S. para Typhi ~AH~ <1.20
• S. para Typhi ~BH~ <1.20
• Reference value for all is <1.8
• Widal Test Results: Negative
Urine Test : Normal
Since SGPT value was high, doctor referred me to a Hospital where again blood test was carried out on 21st April 2012:
• SGPT was found to be 118
• S Creatinine: 1.0 mg/dl
• Chest X Ray: Normal
I was treated again by Doctor B in that hospital with IV medication and i remember i was given Falsi Go medicine along with rantec and Liv 52. On very first hour fever subsides.
After 3 days, i was discharged , I was very weak. While discharging they did Ultrasound of the abdomen.
Results are as under::
• Liver, Gallbladder, pancreas, spleen kidneys and bladder are normal
• No paraaortic or mesenteric limb notes
• Small left plural effusion
• I was told that it is a Pyrexia Clinically Malaria (? Relapse) + left minimal plural effusion in left lung.
• Told to continue Livoflox 500, Bicasule-Z, Dolo(On fever) and Liv 52
Within 2 days i was feeling heavily nauseated and was really weak, had very weak sensation of legs and hands, so i discussed the possible plural neuropathy symptoms with doctor B, she immediately stopped livoflox and started azibact.
I did the medication for next 2 days and. And She did full Ultrasound of abdomen again:
Results are as under:
• Liver, Gallbladder, pancreas, spleen kidneys and bladder are normal.
• Very small plural effusion on left lung (18cc)
Doctor B said i am fine now then even though i was weak, started office from 3rd May.
My stool was still frequent and semisolid , and on 11th May fever came again like 100 F. I went again to doctor A, He did tests, abnormalities are listed as below:
Blood Test:
• ESR:
• After 1 Hr: 27 mm (Ref 1-7 mm)
• After 2 Hr : 50 mm (ref 7-15 mm)
• SGPT: 132.3 u/l
• WIDAL : Negative
• Antibodies to mycobacterium:
• Tb IgG:: 228 (Positive: More than 225)
• Tb IgM: 0.98 (Doubtful 0.8 to 1)
• Micro Bacterium Tuberculosis By Real time PCR Test: NEGATIVE
• Urine Test: Normal
Chest XRay: Lung fields normal, No evidence of tubercular lesion, pneumonic consolidation or Plural effusion on either side. Both costophrenic angles are clear.
Ultrasound of Abdomen:
• Liver: no solid cystic mass seen , intrahepatic biliary and portal redicals appear normal
• No plural effusion seen on either side
• Gall bladder normal in size shape and projection
• No gall stones seen
• Pancreas, spleen shows no abnormality.
• Both kidneys are normal in size shape and projection. No hydronephorsis or mass seen in either of kidneys. Small calculi are seen in both kidneys(2 to 3 mm size)
• Uinary bladder appears normal, Prostate appears normal
After seeing the report, doctor suggested, Zenflox, Flora and Valoz D for 3 days. On very first day after taking Zenflox in night i became very unstable and uneasy.
Doctor B Doscontinued the Zenflox and said me to continue flora and Valoz D.
However since the stool condition was watery, frequency increase and on 17th i passed stool like 5 time in the morning. Was very weak. Doctor B asked me to start Zenflox OZ(2 per day) , Rentec 150 & Flora for 3 Days. I became stable again and stool became semisolid. I was suspecting diarrhoea as my sister and wife who were there in my native place in march and travelled back to their respective places developed diarrhoea and were successfully treated within 3 days.
DoctorB said since SGPT is hight so, REHEPTIN should be continued for liver support.
Still on 20th when my antibiotics course was completed, started vomiting twice and few times passed stool which is not seems to be normal.
Doctor B referred me to Gastroenterologist (A very senior Doctor almost 65 years of age: Doctor C).
Doctor C on 21st may 2012 suggested following tests:
• SGPT: 137.08
• SGOT: 66.50
• Protein Total: 9.29
• Albumin: 5.23
• Globulin: 4.06
• A/G Ratio: 1.29
• Hepatitis Marker:
• Anti HEV IgM: 0.86 (Negative<1, Positive >1)
• Anti HAV IgM : 0.59 (negative)
• HBsAg 0.479 (negative)
• Anti HCV 0.379 (Negative)
I met the doctor C next day and showed him the reports, he said, hepatitis is negative, just take few medicine for 20 days and then we will redo the test. Nothing to worry, you will be fine.
Medicine he suggested is: golbi300, silbostin and surbex xt. For 20 days.
Within 2 days of taking medicine, i developed frequent stool discharge like 5-6 times a day. Doctor C suggested stool routine check, everything came out normal in stool routine test.
Doctor A suggested for CT of Abdomen. I did it and report is absolutely normal, every internal organ is normal.
I stopped surbex xt and continued golbi 300 and silbostin. Rarely had very mild pick kind of sensation in liver and intestine region. But nothing noticeable. After taking medicine i used to get bit sleepy.
Continued the medicine for like 14 days and on 14th day (05.06.12 )i felt very weak as well as exhausted in my office. Came home and called doctor C, he suggested to get SGPT & SGOT test done.
I did the test very same day when i was feeling very weak and uncomfortable and to my surprise, next day result came out that my liver biochemistry came back to normal.
SGPT: 47.51
SGOT :35.32
Next day also weakness was there, couldn’t slept for a minute in night. Next day went to Doctor D, he listened the whole story of mine, and without even seeing the test report , said that probably i had amebiasis liver abscess. Then saw all my report and suspected TB but soon ruled out as mycobacterium tuberculosis tests are negative.
Suggested to get stool test and Ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis done. After test reports he will start medication. Also suggested to start kumara asav, a aurvedic medicine for immunity boost.
Did the Ultrasound and Stool test:
Ultrasound: All organs normal.
Stool test: Normal, few pus cells seen
Doctor D Said everything is normal, no amebiasis liver abscess. I have to eat and eat a lot to improve my state and i will be fine soon.
As 20 days course of golbi300 & silbostin got over on 11.06.2012, i went to doctor C for followup. He checked the SGPT & SGOT results (47.51 & 35.32), and said eat everything and given some multivitamins.
I stopped all the allopathic medication.
Presently i am taking Kumari Asav tonic. And once in night Nux Vomica 30.
Present state:
Weakness, head is bit heavy, kinda tightened, sometimes it tickles inside stomach : lower right abdomen, sometimes very slight pain at that region but nothing noticeable, appetite is very good, gas formation, sometimes it feels that i am loosing energy.
All the time my BP was normal, Heart beats were normal.
Body state:
I had never tasted alcohol , tobacco, cigarette.
My height is 5.6 and weight is 62 Kgs. Nobody in my family has ever been diagnosed with sugar, diabetes, cancer etc.
Request: Please tell me that my liver is fine and will be alright within few days.

one more thing to add, these days my stomach is bit swelled up after taking meal in night. Like it is overfilled, though i dont have acidity or any other problem.

Use Arsenic Album 30C three times a day for three days. Use Ipec 30C if fever comes. The inflammation in the liver has subsided, with the SGPT/SGOT at the following levels. The Malaria was benign as P.vivax is less virulent than Plasmodium falciparum, but it must have caused damage to Liver cells causing the inflammation.
SGPT: 47.51
SGOT :35.32
You can continue using Nux Vomica 30C which will improve liver conditions. You can also use Chionanthus Q five drops in one ounce water five times a day for one week to strengthen liver. Kumari Asav is a good detoxifier and rejuvanative, You may use that. If you want to support the RBC you can use Lecithinum 3X three times a day. For the renal calculi use Beriberis Vulgaris Q 5 drops three times a day for one week and it will come out. Use Beriberis after you have come out fully from the current impasse. You seems to be only convalescing now. with best wishes.

I started chionanthusQ-5 times a day, arsenic album30-3 times a day, nux-30 once in night and lecithinum 3x. stopped arsenic after 3 days, and continuing the rest till now, from Last two days having mild heaviness in headache and little head spinning kinda sensation, today, i.e 5th day, was quite dull. feeling sleepy and head is spinning, gas is also there. am i keeping my stomach empty thats y gas is there? still am feeling very sleepy and weak.
Presently kumari asav, chinonanthus q, lecithinum 3x and nux-30 is on.
please advise.

as i was feeling very bad, head was heavy and spinning, was very uneasy, i went to my physician and he pressed my stomach at several places and said i might have developed ulcer. that it why i am having mild pain in lower abdomen, gas, bloating.
given digicain and digiplex syrup and said stop kumari asav.
Presently head is heavy, kinda tightened, mild pain in lower abdomen ,uneasyness, loss of apetite.
Please advise, i havent taken phosporus as due to sunday the store was closed.

i inserted cotton bud in my both ears, feeling ok , head has stopped spinning and bit light. you were right, it was vertigo only. will keep the bud inside ears, and let you know the condition.

i had taken phosphorous, head was bit heavy with bit cold in nose during whole day, may be due to office AC. now at home, feeling relaxed, pain in abdomen is also subsiding. I guess i am improving now. thank you for your advises and prescriptions. will keep posting if anything noticeable comes. thanks again.

Still headache and mild spinning is there, mild tickling inside stomach is there, three fingers below the navel, i think it is in somewhere intestine. If i press at that location it pains. body temperature sometimes rises but it is not fever for sure, may be due to Office AC.
Gas is also there. I am taking digicain and digiplex syrup now. Please advise.

my physician said, probably i might have developed ulcer in intestine. and he prescribed these syrups. i am taking these but still continuous headache and heaviness is eyes, mild pain and gas in lower abdomen is there.

ok use the following medicine and stop that medicine for ulcer.
1.Argentum Nitricum 6C
2.Ipec 6C
3.Anacardium 6C
Use all of them together or one after the other. Report after 1st day and third day. with best wishes.

Dear Doctor Udaya . I had started taking Mixture of .Argentum Nitricum 6C,Ipec 6C ,Anacardium 6C . since 28 June.
Now stomach swelling is not there, gas is not that much , but mild pain at lower right abdomen (i guess it is somewhere in intestine) is there as well as continuous mild head spinning without pain is there. I did the blood test again for liver bio chemistry,

Alkaline Pahsphatase -132.39
Protein Total-9.05
Albumin-5.32

HBsAg- .367(Negative)

I also tried putting cotton bud inside ears, it is not helping.
Just for your information, I checked with older records of mine (of may-june) the gasteroentrologist had mentioned Anicteric hepatitis)
Is this mild pain in stomach has anything to do with my head spinning?
I am drinking boiled water since 3 months, home made food,cooked in very, very less oil, One multivitamin (Surbex-XT).
Taking four small meals in a day , plenty of water, and continuing my office.
Current symptoms:
1: Very Mild pain at lower right abdomen (i guess it is somewhere in intestine) is there. It is not noticeable while i work in office but when i take rest, it becomes noticeable.
2: As well as continuous mild head spinning without pain is there.
3:Weakness
4:Sometimes weak sensation in my right hand index finger.
Please tell if i am thinking too much about my health that is why head spinning is there? I sure had few bad days with some tense hours. But head spinning and stomach pain was there before these days and still here.
Are these ailments are just due to my brain or due to my fear generated by prolonged sickness and as i am weak, every nuances of my body gets amplified and make my brain elude these as symptoms! or do i need to continue medication?
Your advise is as important as your prescription about medicine. I am neither weak mentally nor depressed person but During these three months, i never felt right or healthy from within.
Please spare few minutes for me again and do reply sir.
