Dear Dr. Udaya Kumar,
One of my brothers-in-law has got a persistent problem with urinary tract infection. He is working in office only and travels a lot.
I am giving below the history of infection by bacteria.
E.coli infection:
01.02.2007 - more than 10(to the power of 5)/ml of urine
11.03.2007 - more than 10 (to the power of 5)/ ml of urine
06.06.2007- more than 10 (to the power of 5)/ ml of urine
18.12.2008, 60,000 CFU/ml
14.5.2009-1.10 lakhs/cu.ml
18.07.2009 -1.5 lakhs/cu.ml
20.09.2009- +
13.11.2009- +
Proteus vulgaris
03.02.2009 - +
Klebsiella
20.6.2010 - 40,000 cfu/ml of urine
I am not sure the reason for this repeated infection. He took treatment as and when he had problem and yet, it recurs again. Now, RBSc have been observed in urine. The scan showed normal prostate and no urine retention in the bladder.
Besides, he was having amoebic problem for some time (he often takes food from hotel). He has stomach problem nowadays. He says whenever he has stomach upset, he also suffers from urine problem. Basically he is a civil engineer and works in an office with lot of work pressure. He goes at 7-8 in the morning and comes back by 9-10 in the night. Often, he feels depressed, emotional and worried and upset due to the situation in office. The health problems are occurring only after he got into this office. Though he feels that he should quit, he is unable to take a firm decision yet. It disturbs his sleep also. He is a kind of person who never easily accepts any other’s words and often shows up that he knows everything.
My sister is suffering due to ovarian chocolate cyst and is taking Bellis as advised by Mr. Joe. She has no problem of that now and is well under control. They have no child. She is also suffering due to urine infection (not this frequent) and stomach upset. She was given heavy steroids for ovarian cyst treatment and Bellis helped to stop all these harmful drugs.
I am giving below the results of the latest blood and urine tests done last week.
Blood
Haematology:
Haemoglobin (WB/Automated Counter) 16.2 gm%
Biochemestry:
Glucose-fasting (Plasma/GOD-POD Enzymatic) 88 mg/dl
Blood Urea Nitroge(Serum /Urease GLDH) 7.0 mg/dl
Creatinine(Serum/Kinetic-Modified Jaffe's) 1.0 mg/dl
Lipids:

Triglycerides (Serum/Enzymatic/GPO) 206 mg/dl
HDL Cholesterol-Direct (Serum/Enzymatic) 31 mg/dl
LDL Cholesterol-Direct (Serum/Enzymatic) 108 mg/dl
VLDL Cholesterol (serum/Calculation) 41 mg/dl
CHOL/HDL RATIIO (Serum/Calculation) 5.2
Urine:
General Examination:
Colour: Pale yellow
Specific Gravity (Automated): 1.015
pH (Automated): 6.0
Chemical Examination:
Protein (Automated): TRACE
Glucose (Automated): NEGATIVE
Ketone (Automated): NEGATIVE
Bilirubin (Automated): NEGATIVE
Urobilinogen (Automated): NORMAL
Blood (Automated): POSITIVE (++)
Nitrite (Automated): NEGATIVE
Microscopic Examination:
Leucocytes (Microscopic): 2-3/hpf
RBCs (Microscopic): 10-15 /hpf
Epithelial Cells (Microscopic): 1-2 /hpf
Cysts (Microscopic): NIL
Crystals (Microscopic): NIL
.
Culture and antibiotic susceptibility test:
GRAM'S STAIN: Occasional epithelial cell, pus cell and no organisms seen.
ORGANISM ISOLATED: No pathogens isolated in culture.
At present, he has no symptoms (like burning sensation, pain, fever etc). The doctor has advised him to go in for CT scan with a dye to know the reason for the RBCs in the urine. But, he is reluctant to take up the scan. He is now on antibiotics again. So, I thought of helping him with homeopathy. I would be thankful if you could able to suggest medicines for him to have a normal health.
Regards,
Murugan

Are we attempting to treat a patient who is not willing to be treated? It will make an already difficult job more difficult. Thuja is the medicine to start with. Please give his specific individual symptoms homeopathically and not allopathically. regards. .

Dear Dr. Udaya Kumar,
Thanks.
I don't think he is not willing to be treated. He takes allopathic medicines regularly. But, the problem is recurring urinary tract infection. Sorry, just I gave you the details of clinical test results and his case history. I will try to provide the symptoms pertaining to homeopathy.
UTI - recurring infection. While passing urine slight irritation especially at 11a.m. and 4 p.m. (not all time). During infection, after passing urine - mild abdominal pain. Urine flow is free and clear. Due to infection, he got low sperm count before and got it treated. No child yet.
Stomach - often suffers from stomach upset. some times, urine infection follows stomach problem. got amoebic infection for some time. anus burning sensation after passing stools. Rumbling in stomach. Abdominal irritation below the navel region.
Ear - he clean ears with buds and end up with pain and followup treatment. It has become a habit.
Mind - Due to office atmosphere, he feels depressed, emotional, worried and upset most of the time. Worry about his parent's comments. Hard to convince. Like to go out on holidays. Like friends companion more than family.
Nature - hard working, short-tempered, 'i know everything' kind of person. He used to change TV channels without any concern for others watching it (irritating habit-looks like he purposefully changing it). He never stick on to one channel. lack of patience. hesitate to take up new ventures.
Other health problems - always have high triglyceride level. No other problems.
Family history - father-heart patient.
If you need any other specific detail, please let me know. I will provide the same.
Regards,
Murugan

Give him Sulphur 30 three times a day for three days and tell me the evolving symptoms and improvements. Thereafter give him three doses of Arsenic Album for one day.
