Dear Dr. Udaya,
On Friday she had the extravaginal and lower abdomen pain. We reached KL at night bringing with us Phytolacca Q. She took 5 drops in half glass of water on Friday night and used some to apply locally.
Started fasting on Saturday. Took Thuja 30 in the morning before the dawn meal. The lower abdomen pain and extravaginal pain is as usual. Applied Phytolacca Q at 11.30am. After breaking fast pain increased, the pulsating on lower abdomen and extra and intra vaginal pain.
8.30pm took Thuja 30. Pain remains the same. Went to lie down and fell asleep, woke up at 10pm pain reduced. 10pm Took Coffea Cruda 200.
11.30pm Thuja 30 pain is on the same level.
Used Phytolacca Q application in between but cannot remember exact time.
2am took Coffee Cruda 200 (unable to sleep, advised to leave meds if asleep).
This morning, 5am Thuja 30, 5.15am Phytolacca Q taken.
1pm apply Phytolacca Q.

This is the first time I am seeing her after 1 year. She has always been tall and long limbed with long fingers. She is now very thin, with protruding abdomen. Abdomen is very much enlarged, palpable and very hard to touch, lower abdomen very tender, the slightest touch causes severe pain. There is no part of the abdomen where the fibroid is not palpable.
The pain that she has everyday which I have all this while put as usual pain is quite severe and is worse when she changes position.
The last scan on last Friday (14/8/2009) one fibroid measuring 19cm x 18cm x 11cm and another 5 measuring more than 10cm in diameter and about another 6 smaller masses.
We used the Phytolacca Q 5 drops in water to apply on the abdomen. Are we supposed to use that or the Phytolacca Q straight from the bottle? My husband has asked her to use the Coffea Cruda 200 as application in her armpit during fasting, no changes observed after giving that. Is it effective to use that method of meds administration during fasting or to keep to after breaking fast, midnight and at dawn meal.
We just realized that we have been giving her Thuja 30 until today, when we should have changed to 200 on 21/8. We will change to 200 tomorrow. Had taken Coffea 200 once on 19/8, once on 20/8, twice on 21/8, thrice on 22/8 and 23/8. We still do not have Coffea 1M. We have yet to get AURUM MUR NAT 4X but we have got STAPHISAGRIA 1M.
Kindly advise what to do next. Sorry for getting everything mixed up. May God rewards you in abundance for your kind services.
Best wishes and most kind regards.
Thank you.

You may give her one dose of Staphisagria 1M it should relieve the pain. This was supposed to be one medicine for pain and the main medicine for the ailment is Aurum Mur Nat 4X as I have prescribed. Since both these medicines were not even started till now I am not surprised she is finding now relief from sufferings.I am also apprehensive of her keeping for too long in this condition as she has not be given the required medicine for me to gauge whether the medicines are correct or required to be changed. In the circumstances, after Staphisagria if no relief is found you may either show her to appropriate good homeopath in physical presence at chennai or go for surgical intervention. This cannot be prolonged any longer. with best wishes.

Dear Udaya,
She has broken her fast halfway to take Staphisagria 1M yesterday morning after seeing your post, as she wanted to see if there would be any change. There is no change or reduction in pain. Later she took it again in the afternoon without any changes.
Our friend's friend in Karachi went to collect the meds we ordered on Sunday and was robbed of his car and belongings and his handphone on his way back. He got only 6 of the ordered meds and he is illiterate which means he cannot communicate what he has and what not. We lost the necessary meds.
That broke the camel's back. So my niece will be having a myomectomy on 2nd Sept. The surgeon has told her that they may have to incise vertically as horizontally they may not have access.
Kindly advise if there are any homeopathic meds that we can give before and after the surgery and later when she is well to prevent recurrance.
After she has made the decision to have surgery we gave her Aurum Mur Natronatum 6C (which is the lowest we have), slight reduction in pain after taking it. However, when she took it during severe pain late at night, it did not help. We have asked her to stop the Coffea 200 as we read that it is inimical to Aurum Mur Natronatum as we could not contact you in the meantime as we were on the road. However until surgery she will be taking Thuja 200 & 1M and Natrum Mur 1M as planned. She is expecting her menses around 28/8 and usually there is normal pain as she is having now for the initial 3 day and only staining. Flow and severe pain start after that. Can we give Pulsatilla a day before menses in her case as well. She also found her complaint to be better while walking to hospital.
May God rewards you in abundance for your kind services.
Best wishes and most kind regards.
Thank you.

So sad.
Continue giving her Aurum Mur Natronatum. Yes Pulsatilla can be given before the periods i.e. tomorrow and day after? We have some more time of Aurum works. You may try it in higher doses which should be available in KL. I wanted to start it in 4X , now that there is no choice higher doses may be tried, perhaps we could abort an operation. Use Arnica before and after operation in 30C. Use Phosphorus 30 if there is vomiting due to anaesthesia. Use Staphisagria single dose, if the area of stiches pains after operation. with best wishes.

Dear Dr. Udaya,
We are also very sad. We have tried every avenue that we could and yet it still comes down to this. So, we shall leave it to God's will. Meanwhile we gave the Aurum Mur Natronatum 6C as last resort, not knowing what else to do. We do have Aurum Mur Natronatum 30C and other meds which we have listed in our latest email to you. If you have any suggestion on how do we go about giving the same, it will be very helpful.
May God rewards you in abundance for your kind services.
Best wishes and most kind regards.
Thank you.

Dear Dr Udaya,
Extravaginal pain very much reduced since waking up this morning.
Took Medorrhinum 1M at 7am then Aurum Mur Natronatum 30C at 12.30pm and again at 4.30pm.
After Medorrhinum when she slept and woke up again at 9am extravaginal pain has increased alot. However, she says this is normal every morning and will and did reduce slightly over time and has nothing to do with Medorrhinum.
However she says the pain reduced markedly after the 1st dose of Aurum Mur Natronatum 30C.
After 2nd dose of Aurum Mur Natronatum 30C as usual after PU, she started having severe pain for about half an hour then it becomes much less. This is again an usual occurance every evening to night.
No bearing down pain since yesterday evening. Today after lying down at 3pm started having bearing down pain at 4.30pm.
She is supposed to take Thuja 200 the last dose today. Can she take it?
May God rewards you in abundance for your kind services.
Best wishes and most kind regards.
Thank you.

Give one dose of Lycopodium 200 - against symptom this is again usual occurance every evening to night. The problem is gastric there, and right sided. Also good for ailments of the region. It will relieve the pains. Thuja since it is the last dose she may take it.

Dear Dr Udaya,
Morning pulsating abdomen pain as usual, bearing down pain and extravaginal pain after PU has started in the morning today instead of from evening to night as usual.
Took Lycopodium 200 single dose at 9am. No changes noted after Lycopodium 200. She had taken Aurum Mur Nat 30 30 at 1.30pm , 5pm and will take the last dose at 11pm. She has taken Thuja 1M at 8.30pm.
She will be taking Natrum Mur 1M single dose tomorrow and Aurum Mur Nat 30 3 times.

You have stated in your very first post on 16/8/2009 "Continue with Thuja as above after Natrum Mur. After 24 hours." Does that mean Thuja 1M after 15 days or Thuja 30 3 times a day for the next 5 days. We have not given Pulsatilla 30 as her menses is due on 1/9/2009 and the surgeon has given her some hormone tablets to delay her period. She does not mind taking PUls if it can help her in any way, if she were to take it in what order does she take it.
May God rewards you in abundance for your kind services.
Best wishes and most kind regards.
Thank you.

No. I will not interfere here, as after hormone treatment, homeo medicines will behave differently and I will not be able to judge it from distance as to what is causing what and it will complicate. Let the Surgeon do the needful. I think my role ends here. with best wishes.

Dear Dr Udaya,
She wants to know if the hormone tablets she is taking to delay her period will interfere and will not give the desired result to your earlier suggestion in your posts dated 25/8.
"Use Arnica before and after operation in 30C. Use Phosphorus 30 if there is vomiting due to anaesthesia. Use Staphisagria single dose, if the area of stiches pains after operation."
May God rewards you in abundance for your kind services.
Best wishes and most kind regards.
Thank you.

Arnica is not interfered by any medicnes. Hormone treatment may or may not interfere with phosphorus, but not with staphisagria. with best wishes.

Dear Dr. Udaya,
She has had myomectomy done on 2/9/09. Doctor took out 7 fibroids. The first 3 measuring 16cm, 13cm and 8cm. The other 4 fibroids were small in size measuring 4cm, 2cm, 1cm and so on. There were at least one 4cm fibroid and a few other smaller fibroid left insitu as surgery was stopped due to excessive bleeding. 18 pints of blood was transfused during and post op.
Post op, she took Arnica, Phosphorus, Staphysagria for pain management and nausea. In spite of the hormon tablets her menses came early on 5/9/09, and was given hormon tablet on 3rd day to stop the menses because her haemoglobin level is just 9.5. She was also given pain killers, antibiotic and iron tablets.
Current complaint is that she feels very tired and stomach empty every time after stool. Has bowel movement immediately after every meal which was initially up to 4 times a day but now bowel movement about 2 hours after meal so up to about twice daily. She also has laboured breathing and general weakness after stool. The post surgical pain is almost gone. She has finished all her prescribed medicines and the hormon tablets.
We hope you would be kind enough to stay with her case as we need your advice for treating the remaining fibroids and to avoid any future surgeries.
May God rewards you in abundance for your kind services.
Best wishes and most kind regards.
Thank you.

At this stage she needs absolute bed rest at least from three to six months. That general weakness should not develop into a fatigue syndrome, which is debilitating. Rest and Rest and Rest. We should not be immedately going into any medication in homeo except arnica.

Dear Dr. Udaya,
My niece has been resting at home since the surgery. Since she got well and can move around it is almost impossible to ask her to get bed rest for the whole day.
She still do not use the stairs and no heavy lifting.
She says that her tiredness is now gone and she feels much better now compared to earlier. Occasional pain at sutures if she sits for more than 3 hours, so she lies down often.
She had gone to the clinic for a post surgical review and was informed by the doctor that there are about 5 fibroids left in situ. The larger one is about 5.3cmx3.5cm (near rectum). The other 4 are each approximately 3cm.
She called me last night to say that she was unable to sleep at night for the past 3 days. Her BP is now low 109/72 (pulse 95 bpm), probably due to lack of sleep but she can sleep early morning from about 6am to 10.30am.
She thought that perhaps she has been staying indoors for a long time that her mind does not reconize night and day and for the last two days has taken short walk outside from the house to the restaurant (about 100 meters).
Is there anything that you could do for both her remaining fibroid and insomnia.
She will be leaving for India tomorrow and we would like her to bring whatever meds that she might need.

I do not think I can suggest any medicines to her at this state except arnica and may be a dose or two of staphisagria if there is pain around the stitches area. We can think about it after six months, when she is stable. I have seen cases where severe complications of the operation surfaces after three four months and homeo medicines would get unnecessarily the aggravation blame. with warm regards.
