TREATMENT OF EYE BURN CAUSED BY ARGON ARC WELDING. By: Joe De Livera

I would like to share with members the treatment of an extremely painful condition in the patient's eyes which was CURED within 2 hours after medication.

The patient came to me in severe pain with his eyes closed, totally bloodshot and tearing profusely with coryza caused by accidental exposure to UV radiation from Argon electro arc welding which is at a higher temperature and brilliance than standard electro arc welding. His exposure was for under 5 seconds due to his welding shield slipping from his hand and occurred around 5.00PM on June 23 2009.

He informed me that he did not experience any discomfort immediately after his exposure but when he rode back home on his motor cycle shortly after, he experienced some irritation in his eyes which got progressively worse till he was unable to open his eyes by dinner time. He could not sleep throughout the night due to the intense irritation which he compared to having sand in his eyes. He had to force his eye lids to open with his fingers to be able to see the morning after but the irritation and severe discomfort was excruciating.

He was lead into my office around 10.00AM and arrived with his eyes closed. He informed me that he had consulted a doctor and he had taken one look at his eyes and requested him to go to the government Eye Hospital for treatment. On his way to the hospital, he dropped in on me and inquired if Homeopathy had any remedy that could help him.

I used Glonoine 200c in the Dry dose which I activated from my Ethanol stock into lactose pellets and gave him 4 pellets sublingually. He rested for about an hour with his eyes closed and informed me that he was experiencing some form of pressure in his eyes which he likened to the tightening of the cuff of a Blood Pressure Arm band prior to reading BP.

He felt distinctly better in 90 minutes and was CURED in 2 hours.

I am recording this "Joepathy" therapy in the hope that members will remember it in case of need to help anyone on a SOS basis.

Some friends who read my post on Glonoine and its record of the seemingly "miraculous" cure of the excruciating irritation and pain of the patient's bloodshot eyes have asked for more information on this remedy and I am copying Boricke on Glonoinum or Glonoine which is also known as Nitro Glycerine.

If any member wishes to use this remedy for a similar case of eyeburn, I trust that they will remember that I used the 200c potency for this cure on a SOS basis. It is fortunate that I had the remedy in my stock as it is the lower potencies that are normally used especially for Migraine and Headaches triggered by exposure to strong light.

HOMŒOPATHIC MATERIA MEDICA
by William BOERICKE, M.D.

GLONOINUM : GL = Glycerin; O = Oxygen; N = Nitrogen
Nitro-glycerine--Spirits Glycerinus Nitrate

Recent German provings of Glonoine confirm the original American provings and clinical indications and bring out very marked nerve disturbances. Great lassitude, no inclination to work; extreme irritability, easily excited by the slightest opposition, ending in congestive head symptoms. The sixth potency alone produced itching all over body with later acne and furuncle formation, also bulimy.

Great remedy for congestive headaches, hyperæmia of the brain from excess of heat or cold. Excellent for the intercranial, climacteric disturbances, or due to menstrual suppression. Children get sick when sitting before an open fire. Surging of blood to head and heart. Tendency to sudden and violent irregularities of the circulation. Violent convulsions, associated with cerebral congestion. Sensation of pulsation throughout body. Pulsating pains. Cannot recognize localities. Sciatica in other-omatous subjects, with cold shriveled limbs; seasickness.

Head.--Confusion, with dizziness. Effects of sunstroke; heat on head, as in type-setters and workers under gas and electric light.Head heavy, but cannot lay it on pillow. Cannot bear any heat about head. Better from uncovering head. Throbbing headache. Angio-spastic neuralgia of head and face. Very irritable. Vertigo on assuming upright position. Cerebral congestion. Head feels enormously large, as if skull were too small for brain. Sun headaches; increases and decreases with the sun. Shocks in head, synchronous with pulse. Headache in place of menses. Rush of blood to head in pregnant women. Threatened apoplexy. Meningitis.

Eyes.--See everything half light, half dark. Letters appear smaller. Sparks before eyes.

Mouth.--Pulsating toothache.

Ears.--Throbbing; each beat of heart is heard in ears; full feeling.

Face.--Flushed, hot, livid, pale; sweaty; pains in root of nose; faceache. Dusky face.

Throat.--Neck feels full. Collars must be opened. Chokes and swells up under ears.

Stomach.--Gastralgia in anæmic patients with feeble circulation. Nausea and vomiting. Faint, gnawing, and empty feeling at pit of stomach. Abnormal hunger.

Abdomen.--Constipation with itching, painful hæmorrhoids, with pinching in abdomen before and after stool. Diarrhœa; copious blackish, lumpy stools.

Female.--Menses delayed, or sudden cessation with congestion to head. Climacteric flushing.

Heart.--Laborious action. Fluttering. Palpitation with dyspnœa. Cannot go uphill. Any exertion brings on rush of blood to heart and fainting spells. Throbbing in the whole body to finger-tips.

Extremities.--Itching all over, worse extremities. Pain in left biceps. Drawing pain in all limbs. Backache.

Modalities.--Better, brandy. Worse, in sun; exposure to sun-rays, gas, open fire; jar, stooping, having hair cut; peaches, stimulants; lying down; from 6 am to noon; left side.

Relationship.--Antidote: Acon.

Compare: Amyl nit; Bellad; Opium; Stram; Verat vir.

Dose.--Sixth to thirtieth potency.

For palliative (non-homeopathic) purposes, in angina pectoris, asthma, heart-failure, etc, physiological doses-i.e, 1-100 of drop-must be given. Here it is the great emergency remedy. The conditions calling for it are small, wiry pulse, pallor, arterial spasm, anæmia of brain, collapse, feeble heart, syncope, dicrotic pulse, vertigo,-the opposite of those indicating a homeopathic dosage. Often thus used to lower the arterial tension in chronic interstitial nephritis.

This is a sequel to the report in my first post above which may be of interest to members.

I was asked a question by a Homeopath who wished to know how I had identified Glonoine as a remedy for this patient's eye burn and here is my answer :

I had given Glonoine some years ago to a patient, a foreigner, who presented with sunburn and it worked very quickly to reduce the irritation and burning which is usually followed by peeling of the skin due to exposure to the UV radiation from direct sunlight.

It occurred to me that Glonoine could also be used for eye burn caused by direct exposure to UV radiation cause by Electro Arc Welding without the eye shield when the eyes appear dangerously blood shot and the patient is virtually unable to open his eyes in about 6 hours after exposure as the agony is excruciating, likened to sand in the eyes. It is customary in Sri Lanka and perhaps in other parts of the world to use slices of potato or cucumber over the eyes but this really does not relieve the patient's agony.

This was the first case I treated some months ago for UV burn of the eyes caused by Electro Arc Welding and I felt that I should share my discovery with members who could also benefit from my research which is not listed in the Repertories and MM's in use today. It is my hope that this rubric will be added to future editions under this remedy as many who suffer from this ailment will be relieved of their agony in a very short space of time after taking just 4 pellets of Glonoine 200 in the Dry dose sublingually.

Cellulitis Infection Treatment
Cellulitis is an infection of the skin typically caused by the S.Aureus bacteria which is known to cause Staphyllococcal infections If the infection is not given immediate attention it can quickly spread to other areas of the body such as the face and arms thus making the treatment more difficult. The bacteria can enter the body through an opening in the skin caused by previous dog bites, puncture wounds, boils etc.
Typical symptoms that indicate a cellulitis infection include sudden reddish swelling of the skin, headache, nausea, fever along with multiple small reddish colored dots appearing on the surface of the skin.
Cellulitis usually affects people who have a weak immunity that can result from taking certain drugs or even in people with medical conditions such as diabetes where the circulation of blood carrying nutrients to the cells is reduced thus making the body more susceptible to cellulitis. The weaker the body's immune system, the more difficult the treatment becomes.
