Dear Jayashree,

A stool test for Hook Worm may be helpful. As the hookworm normally hinges on the deodenum, deodenal ulcers are possibilities. Endoscopy will confirm.

Hypochromic mycocytic anaemia is associated with Hemolytic anemia and primarily due to non-assimilation of Iron(commonly ascribed as iron deficiency) or excessive blood loss(abortion in 2000..since then..bleeding from anus for no reason...acidity....ulcer...constipation...liver)
Blood report in such cases will indicate Hypochromic anisopoikilocytosis with presence of pencil cells and rouleux formation. Excessive presence of pencil cells due to Spleen dysfunctioning or inefficiency (Ceonathus Q).

Check for two things. Intermittent fevers, gingevitis.

As immediate relief, the following medicine can be used to advantage:

1. Ferrum Phos 3x
2. Lecithinum 3x
3. Ceanothus A. Q
4. Chionanthus Q.
5. Chelidonium 200 one dose a week.

In case the Hook worm is confirmed, further medication for causal factor could follow, alongwith symptomatic medicines, if not hereditary.

with regards, udaya.

I forgot to tell you something. The medicines above will help anaemia and emaciation. The blanket aspect is due to high rate of Esonophelia, which in turn is a worm symptom. Chilliness can also be outcome of bloodloss or low Hb. Esonophelia causes internal fevers which may be high towards evening or night and will not be perceptible at skin level.

Will get the medicines today. Have already started FP 3X. told her to take 2 tabs four times daily.
But what about Lecithinum 3x,
Ceonathus A. Q and Chionanthus Q.
What dosage should I give her?
Regards

Lecithinum 3x : Depending on the size of pills, one to two tablets three times a day. Both FP3X and Lecithinum can go together as the purpose is same.

FP will correct the assimilation problem and Lecithin will raise the Hb alongwith Ferrum Phos. This can happen within a few days.

Ceanothus A. Q and Chionanthus Q can go together or separately as tonic for spleen and liver respectively. Five to ten drops or more in one ounce of water three times a day will give immediate good feeling in the stomach.

None of the medicines except Ferrum Phos is expected to give any discomfort. Ferrum Phos may bring out some nasal discharge or mild irritations in some people while reversing the body condition.
with regards.
